FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, QUEER & TRANS AFFIRMING PROFESSIONAL (QTAP) CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

2020 - Present

In collaboration with the Advisory Board of The Conference On Contemporary Relationships, developed an intensive national certification program to strengthen cultural competency for health and mental health professionals working with the LGBTQ+ community. This 60 hour program includes Contemporary Relationships Conference attendance, Anti-Racism Training, Pre-Recorded Online Courses, and Professional Consultation. FOUNDER, CONTEMPORARY RELATIONSHIPS CONFERENCE

2013 – present

Clinical supervision of more than twenty professionals within this community mental health center in Austin, Texas.

1994-1995

 

Supervised counseling and nursing staff of a twenty-four bed residential program for youth and young adults. Trained staff in positive reinforcement, solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral approaches.

 

ST. DAVIDS HOSPITAL, PROGRAM DIRECTOR, AUSTIN, TEXAS

1989-1994

 

Directed the intensive outpatient eating disorders program and the 35-bed inpatient psychiatric unit. Supervised a large clinical team and the delivery of mental health services.  Developed program budgets, served as the primary contact for psychiatrists and professionals in the Austin community, developed and implemented utilization review (UR) and total quality improvement processes.
